Copper Sulphate

Copper sulphate is a crystalline copper salt of sulphuric acid. Produced copper is purum (PM) quality and is in the form of the small blue crystals or powder (grading - 200 µm 90%). Exposed to air slowly loses wather and becomes white. Aqueous copper sulphate solution shows an acidic reaction (pH 4 - 5).

Copper sulphate is packed in 25 kg plastic bags.
Euro palletes with dimensions 1200 x 1000 x 150 mm (50 bags on pallete) are available for export packing.

 
 

Copper sulphate is used in agriculture as a fungicide, inchemical and pharmaceutical industry, oil industry, lead, zinc and cobalt ores flotation, for electrolitic coating, in laboratories etc.

The existing plant produces copper sulphate from the electrolyte which is being used in the electrolytical copper refining process. In this way is maintained the required concentration of copper-sulphate in the electrolyte. The designed capacity of copper sulphate production equipment is 2140 t/year. Up till now is obtained the capacity of 120 t/year as a consequence of lower copper sulphate content in the electrolyte than the designed.

There is a possibility of increasing the capacity up to 4000 t/year of copper sulphate, with minor reconstruction of the existing and integration of some new equipment, whereby the additional amounts of copper sulphate would be produced from copper scrap.

From the economical point of view this is very attractive program concerning its accumulatineness, existing market in the surroundings.
